Current Weather

Nestled in the foothills south of Yosemite National Park, Park of the Sierras enjoys a Mediterranean climate: mild wet Winters, very warm dry Summers and exceptional Spring and Fall weather.

Our 1800′ elevation moderates the summer heat cooling to comfortable sleeping temperatures.  Many members become early risers enjoying the mild mornings before the days’ temperatures rise.

In the winter, overnight freezes are uncommon with snow a welcome surprise only a few days each year.  Winter daytime temperatures are mild.

Spring and Fall are wonderful times to be in the park.  A Spring journey to Yosemite captures that park’s waterfalls in all their glory.  Fall is a time of changing colors and the season’s first rains.
